WoW Classic - the gates of Ahn'Qiraj will open in July

Blizzard Entertainment has announced that the well-remembered Ahn'Qiraj event will begin on the World of Warcraft Classic servers this July 28.

The Gates of Ahn'Qiraj event will launch in WoW Classic this July 28;
After opening the gates of the titular city-kingdom, players will gain access to two raids - a 20-player raid and a 40-player raid.
The developers of World of Warcraft Classic have announced when one of the most memorable events - the so-called Ahn'Qiraj - will begin in the game. It will happen on July 28 this year.

A post on the game's official forum.
The Ahn'Qiraj event will put members of the Covenant and Horde through a challenge that will force them to abandon animosity and work together. Players will have to collect a huge amount of various resources, as well as complete a series of tasks in order to finally open the gates of the titular city-kingdom inhabited by insect-like creatures Qiraj and take part in a powerful battle with its inhabitants.

After opening the gates, users will gain access to two raids - the easier Ruins of Ahn'Qiraj (for 20 players) and the more difficult Temple of Ahn'Qiraj (40 players). The final boss in the second raid will be C'Thun - the most powerful antagonist in World of Warcraft Classic so far.

The original Gates of Ahn'Qiraj
On the screenshot above, the climax of the original event - Gates of Ahn'Qiraj, or the battle for the gate discussed here - is remembered very fondly by players who had the opportunity to take part in it. It's worth remembering that it was the first such large event in the game's world, as well as the first experiment of this kind conducted by the developers. Although it did not go without problems - the servers at one point did not hold up - nevertheless, this moment is remembered as one of the most special moments in the history of the game.

We remind you that the World of Warcraft Classic servers were launched in August last year. In addition to the classic version, the "normal" WoW is still available - the production of Blizzard Entertainment studio this year will have another, eighth addition, entitled Shadowlands.
