WoW Patch 9.2 is in the starting blocks - but what comes after that? The rumor mill is already bubbling and the indications that the next expansion will revolve around the dragon race are growing. After the leaks about WoW: Dragonmire and an allegedly accidentally published WoW cinematic, a Chinese player is now adding fuel to the fire.
According to Dexerto, the leak first appeared in a Chinese WoW blog called National Geographic Azeroth. There, the player named solicct explains how he comes to believe that WoW 10.0 will revolve around dragons. Specifically, the fan writes in his post,
"[...] I suddenly realized that the lore of TBC consists of two parts, the Draenor lineage and the Burning Legion lineage, which led to Warlords of Draenor and Legion.
That means expansions 6.0 and 7.0 were split from expansion 2.0. This suggests that expansions 8.0 and 9.0 were split from expansion 3.0. [...] 10.0 and 11.0 should therefore be related to the Dragons and Elemental Lords, and both lines will come to an end. The lore of 12.0 should have something to do with the war between the Alliance and the Horde in MoP. 13.0 is about the Sha from MoP, but this time the main villain should be a Void Lord. Through 8.0 to 12.0, the Void Lords are the real bad guys behind all the chaos. The Burning Legion first appeared in 2.0 and their storyline ended in 7.0 after four expansions. The Void Lords first appeared in 7.0 and their storyline will also end after four expansions, which is 13.0.
According to sollict, the WoW developers follow a fixed pattern when it comes to choosing themes for the expansions. Accordingly, the next WoW expansion would continue the storyline that started with WoW Cataclysm. Should the dragons be the focus of the expansion, we might also visit the Dragon Isles. They were originally planned as a raid zone for levels 65-70, but never made it into the finished game. With a possible WoW: Dragonmire, however, it could be that time.
Will we finally get to see the ominous Dragon Isles in the next WoW expansion?

But why should you care about any fan's speculation? The reason is obvious: solicct has already correctly predicted the content of Battle for Azeroth and Shadowlands. So it's quite likely that he'll be right again this time. In addition, various other leaks point in the direction of a dragon expansion. What do you think?
