WoW Classic: 33 Druids defeat the dragon lady Onyxia

While Druids are a fairly popular class in both Battle for Azeroth and WoW Classic - unlike Kul Tiras and Zandalar, they don't pull a Murloc off the plate with their combat prowess in classic Azeroth. There, warriors, rogues, mages, and priests dominate the camps of tanks, damage dealers, and healers. In theory, the druid can fill all three roles - but in practice, it hardly matters. While there are both tanking and healing druids, and even owls and cats aren't completely extinct, druids are generally more of a support role, while the main burden is shouldered by other classes.

Recently, however, player fouronnes and his friends showed that things can be done differently. He built a raid consisting only of druids and set out to fight the dragon lady Onyxia. Despite only getting 33 players together instead of 40, they were successful and were able to defeat Onyxia. Considering that many of these players were already wearing gear from later raids like Molten Core or the Pitchwing Hoard, this success may sound simple. However, it's important to remember that Druids were truly no match for other classes in Classic. This is evident from a quick look at the logs of the fight. While most Druids barely reached over 100 DpS in this very long fight, Mages, for example, cause five times that or more in game. Don't even get me started on the fact that druid tanks need more healing. Therefore, we can respect such an action and we congratulate.
