Holy Vampire Hunter - Marvel Studios Announces Blade Movie for the MCU

You may have seen it already, the long list of superhero movies planned for the fourth phase of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). On it, of course, are some flicks that were already in the running: Black Widow, for instance, Doctor Strange 2, or the fourth Thor movie. At the unveiling of the list at Comic Con 2019 in San Diego, Marvel President Kevin Feige also had some surprises in store for us.

For example, those in charge of the MCU are also looking to produce a new Blade movie. After Blade (1998), Blade II (2002) and Blade: Trinity (2004), for the first time not Wesley Snipes will take on the role of the vampire hunter, but the two-time Academy Award winner Mahershala Ali, whom you may know from Moonlight, House of Cards, Green Book, Luke Cage or True Detective. Unfortunately, there were no other details yet.

After a 15 year hiatus, we're excited for the announcement. Blade has always been a cool sock and the vampire backgrounds drawn there exciting. We're excited to see it come to fruition. Are you guys too?
